Godkiller - Deliverance

http://metal-archives.com/release.php?id=12753
Album: Deliverance
Release: 2000
Artist: Godkiller

Comments: All good things must come to an end, and Godkiller's excellent run is no exception. In my opinion, a better bm solo project than the overrated Burzum. Although I might eventually upload them myself, I would recommend any bm fan to go and find The Warlord, Rebirth of the Middle Ages, and of course The End of the World. All are solid releases. Now, back to this. I had to get this album shipped in from Denmark and....it's pretty eh. The issue with Deliverance is that it's such a huge musical departure from Satanaƫl's earlier works. It tries to be more like other "industrial" black metal bands such as Samael and Aborym, but ends up sounding sloppy. But in light of earlier Godkiller masterpieces, I'd say this album is worth a shot. I wouldn't call it great by any stretch, but it does have a little bit of that spark that made other Godkiller releases great.
